Shaping the Sport of Jiu Jitsu
Góes Jiu-Jitsu Club prides itself on being a fun, family-oriented studio, where people of all ages can come together in a low-pressure environment to learn important fighting fundamentals and build their self-confidence.
Our goal is to not only to develop outstanding Jiu-Jitsu athletes, but productive members of society, like lawyers, doctors, scientists, engineers, teachers and more.
These classes are certain to help you achieve your physical fitness goals. But we understand the martial arts are about more than physical fitness — they are about mental strength, as well. We pride ourselves on building up all aspects of human strength in a positive, family environment.
The studio is open to child students, as well as adults who are interested in learning Jiu Jitsu fundamentals alongside their kids or by themselves.
About Master Goes
Goes started practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the age of 7 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with his grandfather Alcides Goes, judo master. When he was 12 he was taken to the Carlson Gracie Team and fell in love with the sport embracing jiu-jitsu as a profession, totally dedicating himself to the "Gentle Art".
At the age of 18, he got his black belt from the hands of Carlson Gracie. At 19, after more than 200 Jiu-Jitsu fights and only one loss, and achieving World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Champion 8 times he then moved to the United States to become a professional MMA Fighter.
Today, Black Belt Master 6th Dan, Allan Goes is known as one of the most technical fighters and has created his own system to teach Jiu-Jitsu. Goes teaches at his Gym Headquarters in Laguna Woods, California.
